Position Summary
As a Customer Facing Supply Chain Lead you will be a member of the Vet Supply Chain Team and focused on ensuring services, enabling growth, and empowering people to make service a competitive advantage for the Vet business. Primary focuses will include but not limited to forecasting and anticipating assigned customers’ needs, driving alignment across Vet Supply Network to optimize service and growth, and ensuring optimal inventory level at assigned customer’s group.
You will proactively & collaboratively with the Customers, Customers’ Supply Chain team, Purina’s Demand & Supply Planning, Logistics, Transportation, ORM, and Vet Sales & Marketing team on initiatives to optimize service & productivity of the total value chain. You will use your analytical and collaborative skills to proactively understand across multiple areas including: customers & total Vet volume forecast, and supply chain key performance indicators (on-time, in-stock, fill rate, damaged-free/load integrity, deductions, unsaleable).
The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, having the ability to tell a story with data, driving insight to action, and influencing a cross-functional team to achieve business results. Will also be tasked with partnering with supply chain leadership on departmental projects designed to improve Vet Supply Network capabilities and capacity.
* Lead Vet Supply Chain priorities in working with Vet Sales to drive profitable growth with assigned customer group (Chewy, Amazon, Petsmart, Petco, etc.)
* Consolidate overall Vet demand signals to provide recommendations on total demand forecast for Vet Prescription Diets & Supplements.
* Partner with external customer counterparts on finding improvements within the supply chain model which are mutually beneficial to both NPPC & Customer.
* Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects, coordinating with multiple departments within Vet and greater Purina.
* Lead internal alignment and execution in achieving key Vet SC metrics (Case-fill, On-time, Cost-to-Serve) and proactive collaboration with team members on leading performance indicators
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required.
* 5-7 years of relevant work experience in supply chain, account management, sales, or operations.
Skills
* Development of business solutions utilizing a variety of technological tools (Business Objects, SAP Reporting, Power Business Intelligence) is preferred
* Problem solving, data interpreting abilities, and analytical skills are preferred
* PowerBI and project management experience is preferred
* Advanced competency with Business Objects, SAP, Trade Management Tool (TMT/Osprey), and Microsoft Office Tools is preferred
The approximate pay range for this position is $103,000 to $130,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
