retail.ai GmbH is an innovative and ambitious subsidiary of Markant group in the retail and FMCG sector that specialises in generative AI technologies. Our entrepreneurial activities are diverse and essentially comprise four main business areas: Product Factory, Academy, Lab and Alliance.

In the Product Factory, we develop innovative AI products for the retail, FMCG and DIY sectors in collaboration with our parent company, Markant. As part of the Academy business area, we design and distribute high-quality learning modules that empower our corporate customers and their employees in the field of generative AI in the long term. With the Lab, we aim to join forces with renowned & leading universities in the field of generative AI. With our own research facility, we are thus playing an active role at the forefront of basic AI research. The Alliance business unit focuses on the development and ongoing operation of a circle of experts. This discussion group, consisting of numerous representatives of the European leadership elite within the retail, FMCG and DIY industries, enables a regular exchange of ideas between the participants and thus makes a valuable contribution to the innovation and continuous improvement of the entire industry.

# Product Owner for GenAI products (m/f/d)

### Our Offer

* You will drive the strategic roadmap for our GenAI applications and orchestrate cross-functional initiatives between product, go-to-market, strategy and development teams to maximize impact and accelerate growth.
* You will work closely with the sales and development teams to prioritize value and impact and coordinate our efforts to create exceptional products and user experiences that exceed expectations.
* You are responsible for the strategy for apps by developing and prioritising new features with customers.
* You use customer analysis and interviews to determine the needs of our users and translate these into clear requirements for the product.
* You regularly communicate with external stakeholders and understand their requirements, which you translate into well thought-out and feasible product development tasks and user stories.
* Together with the development team, you plan sprints, prepare the backlog and prioritise tasks to ensure a successful and on-time product launch.
* You are responsible for developing and continuously updating the product roadmap. You plan the functional and technical development steps and adapt them to the growing market requirements.
* You communicate the roadmap and progress to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
* Actively contribute to preparing the groundwork for product launch and commercialisation by working closely with Sales.
* You will work closely with the Head of Development to ensure that the product vision is technically feasible and rely on data-driven decisions to make informed product decisions.

### Your Profile

* You completed a degree in technology, e.g. business informatics, industrial engineering or a STEM subject, or a comparable qualification.
* You already have several years of experience in the strategic and operational management of projects.
* You have initial experience with generative AI and good knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
* You have sound experience with agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
* You have very good knowledge of German and English.
