For our coporate "New Venture" - Team we are seeking an entrepreneurial Technology and New Business Manager / New Business Development Manager*. In this role, your aim is to identify and develop SCHOTT's business opportunities to build a strong pipeline for innovation.
This position is part of a development program, tailored for talents aiming to advance to new roles within 3 to 5 years through self-driven growth. The program offers insights into various business areas, opportunities for networking and visibility at top management level
## Ihre Aufgaben
* Developing new business opportunities in the materials space adjacent to SCHOTT´s existing business
* Identification of strategic search fields for new SCHOTT business opportunities, and analysis of trends in technological changes within markets and applications
* Monitoring of markets and competitors using various sources of information
* Evaluation of technologies for new busines opportunities and generation of new business ideas. Support of the evaluation of business ideas in terms of volume/profitability/cost structures, business model, technology, competitive positioning, risks, IP, roadmapping, etc.
* Initiation of technological studies and support of New Business projects with regard to commercial issues (business model,competition analyses, development of customer contacts)
* Leadership of smaller projects and coordination of collaborations (e.g. with academic partners/research institutes)
## Ihr Profil
Excellent honors degree in science, preferably with PhD, alternatively University degree in a technical/natural science field with a doctorate and additional business training; ideally with a background in functional materials
Deep technological understanding especially in the materials space, paired with a strong business acumen
+3 years of international experience in business/new business development department of a technology company or renowned business consultancy firm with strong technological focus
Excellent capability of translating technology into business and strong analytical and conceptual skills
Entrepreneurial approach and knowledge of the technological trends in markets that are relevant to SCHOTT
Proven track record of successful cooperation in international projects as a member of a cross-functional teams, ideally project management experience
Fluent business English (written and spoken), knowledge of German is a strong plus
